Each capsule contains 2mg of loperamide hydrochloride, which works by slowing bowel activity and helping the body absorb more water and salts from the intestine. Imodium Capsules are suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over. They may also be used by adults aged 18 years and over for diarrhoea associated with irritable bowel syndrome, provided IBS has previously been diagnosed by a doctor.
